Haiku Gardens

Anyone who has lived on the windward side of Oahu has been to Haiku Gardens. It's a beautiful little oasis nestled next to the mountains in Kaneohe.  I'd love to do a plein air painting there sometime in the future.

Windward Oahu

Growing up in Kaneohe, Hawaii, I had the fortune to view this phenomenal mountain range daily.  The Koolau Mountains provide the most beautiful backdrop to the windward side of the island.  The ridges seem to reach the heavens at the highest points.

Hula

I have always loved watching hula dancers.  There is such beauty to their movements.  I've been feeling a little homesick for my original home of Oahu, so this is the first of a few Hawaii paintings I have planned to do.
