Flying Water

6x6

This is the third painting in my series of this water dog.  There is something so freeing when painting water and fur that is flying in every direction.  Happy Spring everyone!

Wet Dog

6x8
acrylic on gessobord
Here's another painting of that sweet retriever I posted yesterday.  While working on this one I couldn't help but laugh at how much water this pup was exuding as he came running onto shore!  I plan to do one more of this guy tomorrow.  I'm going in sequence...so get ready for some flying water!

I Could Do This All Day

6x8
acrylic on gessobord

While visiting Bainbridge Island for one of our daughter's regattas, I was able to sneak away and get some fun photos.  This golden retriever was playing fetch non stop the whole time I was on the beach.  He never seemed to tire.  Oh, what I would do to have some of that puppy energy!

The Hugghins Hit the Beach

18x14
acrylic on canvas
This is one of my most recent commissioned paintings.  My friend captured his nephew's girls experiencing their first ocean visit.  They had an absolute blast playing near the surf!  The joy these sweet girls were exhibiting made this a pleasure to paint!  May we all find joy with the simpler things in life!

Sunset Regatta (auction size)

So, this is what I ended up painting for our daughter's sailing team auction.  I'm so excited that one of the sailing team parents was the highest bidder!  Woohoo!

Having a Ball

6x6
acrylic on gessobord
I painted this for the DPW "ball challenge".  I found the photo I used to paint this cutie on Pixabay.  I just love this guy's tongue hanging out as he holds on to his precious ball!  It was also great practice to work on my "whites" (which I regularly struggle with!).  Enjoy!

Looking For Love

A friend of mine posted this adorable pup, that was available at their local shelter, on Facebook and I couldn't resist painting her.  Those eyes just beg me to come adopt her!  I'm happy to say she was adopted!  Never forget, there are amazing pets at your local shelter.  Give love a chance!
