One of the reasons I love painting children is the way they show feelings, using their whole bodies. If a child feels joy, it will show everywhere on her! There is something about the ocean and kids. They go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Beautiful painting. Came across your work on DPW as I too have just started posting in the weekly challenge there. I love working with acrylics but presently am on pastel and other mediums. Your works inspire me and I may soon take to acrylics too.
Thank you, Manju! I used to work in oils, and loved it, but switched to acrylics many years ago when we moved aboard our boat. I've always been intrigued with pastels. If only there was more time in every day, I could work in all the mediums that interest me!
